Can I buy a car with an ITIN instead of an SSN?

Yes. Several lenders our dealers work with finance cars with an ITIN. You will need an ID, proof of income and proof of address.

What ID can I use?

A valid driver’s license, a passport or a consular ID usually works. Ask Eric about your case.

Will checking my options hurt my credit?

No. Pre-qualifying asks for no SSN and runs no credit check. Your credit is only pulled later, with your permission, when you apply for a specific car at the dealer.

Do I need a big down payment with an ITIN?

It depends on the car and the lender. Many ITIN buyers drive away with $1,000 to $2,500 down.
